MacKinnon, Elsie (née Miller), formerly of Hanover, passed away suddenly on Sunday July 25th at the age of 82. 

Elsie was pre-deceased by her husband Al MacKinnon, parents John and Myrtle Miller, brothers John, George and Jim Miller, her daughter-in-law Barb Benninger, sisters-in-law Liz, Joan and Donna MacKinnon, and brothers-in-law Bob and Don MacKinnon. 

She is survived by her five children, Andrew MacKinnon of Hanover, Bruce MacKinnon of Bowmanville, Doug MacKinnon of Neustadt, Glen (Jane) MacKinnon of Mercer Island, Cathy (David) Smith of Mount Forest and dear family friend Daphne Kirkpatrick of Hanover. Elsie is also survived by her nine grandchildren, Michelle (Sam) McCann, Carla (JD) MacKinnon, Tyler (Amy) MacKinnon, Calvin (Jasmyn) MacKinnon, Shelby (Mike) MacKinnon, Jacob MacKinnon, Alex MacKinnon, Lulu MacKinnon and Rosie MacKinnon, as well as five great-grandchildren, Alessandra, Aurora, Malakhi, Cayden, and Angela. 

Elsie was an avid lawn bowler and member of the Hanover Lawn Bowling Club in her active years, and enjoyed travelling and bingo. Special thanks to her "girlies", the staff of 3W at Brucelea Haven in Walkerton for their patience, kindness and care for our mom. 

To honour her wishes, there will be no funeral services as cremation has taken place and  a Come and Go Celebration of Life will be held at the home of Cathy & David Smith (355 Jeremy's Cres., Mount Forest) on Saturday, August 21, 2021 from 1-4 pm. Memorial donations can be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation.
