Corisa Diane (nee Metcalfe) Lemont, of Chepstow, passed away peacefully after a tough fight with cancer at the Hanover & District Hospital on Tuesday, July 24, 2018, at the age of 31.
Corisa, a loving and devoted wife to Mark, Mommy to Lucas, Trevor and Callum, was born in Walkerton, May 29, 1987 to Bob Metcalfe and Dale Schaefer.
Corisa had an uncanny ability to reach people in a positive way, which was consistently demonstrated through her work as a teacher at the Walkerton District Community School. Corisa truly lived life to the fullest through simple pleasures; raising her children, playing softball, scrapbooking and spending time with family and friends including “The Minions”.
Corisa is survived by her husband, her children, her parents Bob and Lois (nee Durrer) Metcalfe of Walkerton, and Kent and Dale (nee Freiburger) Schaefer of Walkerton, her siblings Danica Metcalfe (Randy Cornelisse) of Hanover, Joshua Metcalfe of St-Anne-Gloucester, NB and Sasha Schaefer of Walkerton. Fondly remembered by her in-laws Allan and Nancy (nee Brindley) Lemont of Glammis, sister in-law Ashley (Luke) Hohnstein of Mildmay, and brother in law Scott Lemont (Richelle Hofman) of Glammis.
Corisa will always be remembered for her caring heart and infectious smile.
Family, friends, and others whose lives Corisa touched are invited to a Celebration of Life on Friday, August 10, 2018 from 1 p.m. – 4 p.m. at the Chepstow Lion’s Park to celebrate and reminisce Corisa’s life.
Memorial donations to the Trust Fund for her children, Walkerton Hospital Foundation CT Scanner Campaign or the Chepstow Lions Park would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
