Howard Lahn, of Hanover, passed away peacefully at The Village Senior's Community, Hanover on Thursday, July 19, 2018. He was 83.

Born in Hanover, Ontario on October 27, 1934 to the late Norman and Carrie (nee Barkholtz) Lahn. Howard was most at home on the farm and truly enjoyed all the hard work farming entailed. A member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church - Brant, where many fond memories and friendships were made. He will be missed by his church family.

Loved by devoted wife Shirley (nee Yenssen) Lahn. Father of Paul (Lynne)Lahn of Walkerton, Linda (Steve) Wettlaufer of Neustadt, Paul Weigel (Tammy Smailes) of Brant Township, Carol Weigel (Joe Hoffarth) of Carrick Township, Gary (Jill) Weigel of Maryhill, Mark (Janet) Weigel of Guelph. Proud grandfather of Sharon (Ron), Joel (Amy), Shayne (Lynn), Jamie, Brock, Garrett, Tarah (Cory), Laurel, Aven, Aaron, Ben, Logan, Natasha, Ethan, Danielle (Tyson), Sara, Brent and great grandchildren Rileigh, Josey, Mia, Lynden, Tristan, Elliott, Chris and Cody. Fondly remembered by his brother Jim of Hanover and sister Norma of Normanby. Predeceased by his brothers Christopher "Ernie", Bruce and sisters Marian and Geraldine.

Visitation will be held at Mighton Funeral Home, Hanover, on Sunday, July 22, 2018 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, July 23, 2018 at 11:00 am, at St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Brant Township. Father Ed Wagner officiating. Interment in St. Peter's Lutheran Cemetery, Brant Township.

Memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society, Home Community Support Services or to the Heart & Stroke Foundation would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
