Mildred Elizabeth Becker, of Hanover, formerly of Ayton, passed away at Hanover Care Centre, on Thursday, May 10, 2018. She was 83.
Born in Normanby Township on June 19, 1934, to the late Melvin and Minnie (nee Fatum) Buhrow. Mildred last worked at the Hanover Care Centre as part of the kitchen staff. She volunteered her time to several organizations graciously, including her time as a Brownie leader, and Sunday School teacher at her church in Ayton. Mildred and her husband Earl were the first couple to be married in the new Trinity Lutheran Church in Ayton.
Loving mother of Diane Pfeffer of Hanover, Brian (Bonnie) Becker of Moltke, Linda (Doug) David of Neustadt, Karen Becker (Gary Whitehead) of Varney, Debbie (Randy) Yager of Port Elgin, and Joanne (Art) Hetsler of Hanover. Dearly missed by several grandchildren and great grandchildren. Fondly remembered by siblings Gerald (Joan) Buhrow of Clifford, Shirley (Jack) Murray of Clifford, sisters in-law Marie McRonald of Hanover, Ruth (Paul) Pfeffer of Ayton, and Betty (Bruce) Dinniwell of Barrie, as well as several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her husband Earl Becker, son-in-law Glen Pfeffer, grandson Jonathon Miller, brothers Harvey (in infancy) and Ken (Jean) Buhrow, and brother in-law Ron Hopf.
Visitation will be held at Mighton Funeral Home, Hanover, on Sunday May 13, 2018, from 1-4 pm.
A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, May 14, 2018 at 11:00 am, at Trinity Lutheran Church, Ayton. Rev. Heather Spencer officiating. Interment in Trinity Lutheran Cemetery, Ayton, Ontario.
