Bernard Oberle, of RR# 3 Hanover, passed away peacefully at Hanover and District Hospital just 6 months after the passing of his beloved Glenna, on Sunday, May 30, 2021. He was 85.
Born in Carlsruhe, Ontario on December 17, 1935 to the late Norman and Tulita (nee Montag) Oberle. Bernard was an Assistant Foreman with Hanover Kitchen Kabinets until its closing where he moved on to frame houses with KML. To enhance his career, he then moved to Art Brown Construction in Walkerton as a Tool Foreman and lastly Bernie found employment with Bruce County Highways as a Sub Foreman. He and Glenna were faithful members of Holy Family Church. A farm man true and true, he worked hard and was a great family man.
Survived by sons Tim (Sue) Oberle of Hamilton and Chris (Brenda) of RR#1 Hanover. Loved grandfather of Catherine (Nik), Jacob (Shannon), Chad, Neale and great grandchildren Vivian, Adrian, Logan, Levi, Mirza and Ava. Fondly remembered by his brother Norbert (Mary) Oberle of Cambridge, nieces, nephews and their families. Predeceased by his beloved wife Glenna (nee Kunsenhauser) in November 2020 and brother Adrian Oberle.
Due to COVID-19 restrictions the family will have a private gathering and graveside service at St. Francis Xavier Cemetery in Carlsruhe, on Thursday, June 3rd, 2021, at 11 am.
