Gordon  Allensen, of Hanover, passed away suddenly at his home on Saturday, May 08, 2021.  He was 83. 

Born in Neustadt on November 29, 1937 to the late Isaac and Hilda (nee Hossfeld) Allensen. Gord was employed with Campbell Soup in Listowel for many years. He was known as a social butterfly and his interests included helping with Community Support Services so he could talk to others. He enjoyed people, so finding jobs like a Bus Driver and joining Swing Bowling, enhanced his ability to meet and talk to many people and people enjoyed his company as well. 

Survived by devoted wife Leilani "Lani" MacDuff of Hanover.  Dear father of Nancy (Shawn) Bolden and Grace Halliday both of Walkerton. Loved grandpa of Jessica, Natasha, Lee-Ann, Josh and John as well as great grandpa of 4. Gord will be remembered by their many friends,  Lani's and the Allensen families. Predeceased by his brother Edgar Allensen and step son Earle Meyerink. 

To honour his wishes, cremation has taken place and a private family memorial service will be held at a later date. Inurnment in St. Peter's Lutheran Cemetery, Neustadt, Ontario.
