BANKS

Ruth Clara Banks, of Owen Sound, passed away peacefully at Central Place Retirement Home in Owen Sound on Wednesday, March 3, 2021. She was 92.

Ruth was born on March 18, 1928 in Detroit, USA. Beloved wife of the late Harold Banks. She enjoyed traveling with her family to sunny destinations and time spent at the cottage.

Loving mother of Ray (Maureen) Banks of Burlington and Heather (Jim) Gardiner of Owen Sound. Beloved grandmother to Gavin (Julie) Gardiner of Gorrie and Nicole Gardiner of Owen Sound. Best Gigi to Emma and Jason Gardiner. Ruth will be missed by her many friends at Central Place and her special friends Don and Janet Dirstein of Ajax.

In keeping with her wishes, cremation has taken place and a private family service will be held at the Hanover Cemetery at a later date. The family would like to thank Dr. Veenstra, the nurses and all Central Place staff for their care and compassion given to Mom.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Diabetes Association would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy. Arrangements entrusted to the care of Mighton Funeral Home.
