Marion Fry, of Hanover, passed away peacefully at her home in the early morning hour on Sunday, August 16, 2020. She was 86.

Marion was born in Brant Township on March 14, 1934. Daughter of the late Henry Elbert and Jennie Melinda (nee Wardrop) Haug. She was a cook at the Hanover and District Hospital for many years until retiring. She was a member of Grace United Church as well she enjoyed her time with the ladies of the Rebekkah Lodge and knitting club.

Survived by children Kenneth (Kim) Fry, Debbie (Orland) Wilson, Lorne (Debby) Fry all of Hanover, Marlene (Rodney) Demerling of Brantford and Peter (Lorrie) Fry of RR#3 Elmwood. Loved grandmother of Christopher, Angela (Alex), Cheryl (Jordan), Justin (Ang), Joshua, Jordan (Roxanne), Victoria, Austen, Rachael, Logan, Landon, Kylie and four great grandchildren. Fondly remembered by her only remaining sibling Jennie (Ervin) Bloch-Seip of Kitchener. Remembered by her nieces, nephews and their families. Predeceased by beloved husband Robert Fry, siblings Mary, Henry, Elizabeth, Robert all in infancy, Mildred (Herb) Forsyth, George Haug, Florence (Elmer) Eckstein, Reta (Art) Kirk, Fred (Teresa) Haug, Ruby (Max) Karge-Kaufman and Henry "Edward" (Edith) Haug.

The family will accept friends for visitation at Mighton Funeral Home, Hanover, on Thursday, August 20, 2020 from 1-4 pm. As per the provincial regulations and COVID-19 restrictions, visitors are requested to wear a mask when inside the funeral home. The maximum number allowed in the funeral home at any one time is 40 people including immediate family. All social distancing measures will be taken. A private family Funeral Service will be held on Friday, August 21, 2020. Rev. Micol Cottrell officiating. Interment in Hanover Cemetery.
