James "Jim" Robert Henry Fisher, of Ayton, passed away peacefully on Monday, April 20, 2020 after a long and courageous battle with Cancer. He was 54.
Born on June 23, 1965 in Hanover, to the late Mervin and Doreen (nee Kraft) Fisher. He will be remembered for that contagious smile, his love for his dogs and his "girls" (a.k.a. the chickens). Touring the backroads with his little girl Shironna, listening to his classic rock music and occasionally pulling out his famous air guitar. He also had a love for travelling, and looked forward to his yearly vacation to the sunny south. He always felt the need to name his trucks...everyone has heard stories of Henry, Junior, Smoke, and his coolers, "Bubba and Ernie", but his absolute favorite was his car, Goldie "HAWN"-da. His family meant everything to him and the love he had for them was immeasurable.
Survived and greatly missed, by his devoted wife Tracey (nee Gerhardt) Fisher of Ayton. World’s best father to Dennan Fisher of Ayton and Alissa (Alex) Lee of Waterloo. He was granted the new title of Grandpa in October and absolutely adored his little chipmunk, Abby, as she put the spark back into him when he needed it the most. He will be remembered by his brother Glenn Fisher of Barry’s Bay, his brother in law Dwayne (Sue) Gerhardt of Hanover his sisters in law’s Penny Gerhardt (Fred Haug) of Ayton and Sandra Shantz of Walkerton. Jim will be missed by his uncle Arnold Kraft of Barry's Bay. Jim was such a great family man and will leave fond memories with all his nieces, nephews and their families. Predeceased by his parents, parents in law Wayne and Doris (nee McDougall) Gerhardt, sister in infancy, sister in law Linda Jones and brother in law Murray Weber.
