Edwina Cope, of Hanover, passed away suddenly at her home on Sunday, April 19, 2020. She was 82.
Born in Grand Falls, New Brunswick on February 2, 1938 to the late Rene and Eva (Cote) Walker. Edwina married the love of her life, George and was devoted to him until his death in 2010. She was employed with Horizon Poultry for over 25 years.
After recently selling her home, she resided at The Village Senior's Community where she made lasting friendships and will be missed very much.
Edwina, known to her friends and neighbours as "Sam", had a great passion for her extensive Santa Claus collection. During the Christmas season, she took great pride in showing her houseful of elaborate displays. Her pastimes for the rest of the year included her flower gardens and playing Euchre every chance she could.
Survived by daughters Sandra (Gary) Thomas of Hanover, Odette (Gary) Blaskavitch of Los Angeles, California and son George Cope Jr. (Candia Snowden) of Calgary. Loved grandmother of Vanessa, Adam, Kennedy and Jade. Fondly remembered by her brothers Claude (Collette) Walker, John (Bernadette) Walker and her twin sister Dorina Dixon and many nieces and nephews. She will be missed by her sister-in-law Carmelle Walker. Predeceased by her husband George Cope, brother Orphy Walker and baby sister Sandra.
