COVID-19 Update – April 1, 2020:

In these uncertain times for our community, province, country, and world, we will be closely monitoring updates from our local health authorities, and our governing agencies for funeral services, to guide our services and operations here at Mighton Funeral Home, and our care for our families, and our community. 

The Government of Ontario has deemed Funeral Homes, and other related funeral service and supply companies, an Essential Service in Ontario. With a few small procedural changes, our business is still operating, following the rules mandated in the current state of emergency for Ontario, and any updated directives from our governing agency, the Bereavement Authority of Ontario.  Gatherings are now mandated to be limited to 5 people to a maximum of 10, and immediate family only.  We continue to follow all other recommended guidelines for cleaning our facility, hygiene, social distancing, etc. 

As stated in our prior update, most of the arrangements and administrative work for the services we offer can be completed from a distance, via email, phone, and fax.  If you are unsure as to whether or not you need to come into the funeral home to deal with an enquiry, place a donation, or to arrange a service, please call ahead and ask. As per recommended practices, please do not visit our facility if you have a cough, cold, or fever, OR have travelled outside Canada in the past 14 days. We are taking all precautions and steps needed to be a responsible community member, to stop the spread of the COVID-19 virus.
