Dezso "Dennis" Szilassy, formerly of Hanover, passed away at Rockwood Terrace Nursing Home in Durham on Friday, March 06, 2020, in his 92^nd year.

Born in Czechoslovakia, son of the late Antal and Erzsebet (nee Bodi) Szilassy. Dennis worked as a delivery driver for Sunrise Bakery and then for Bucci Shell in Hamilton, before retiring and moving to Hanover.

Survived by nieces Elizabeth "Betty" Szilassy of Brazil and Margaret Szilassy (Alan Krueger) of Ilderton. Fondly remembered by his great nieces Annie Krueger and Kyra Krueger. Dear cousin of Wanda Szabo of Hanover. Predeceased by his parents, his brother, Bill (Kathleen) Szilassy and cousins Elmer (Olga) Szabo, John Szabo and Thelma (Harold) Duxbury.

Visitation will be held at Mighton Funeral Home, Hanover, on Monday, March 9, 2020 from 10 am until time of a Funeral Service at 11:00 am. Dean Bender officiating. Spring interment in Durham Cemetery.
