Edel Eckert, passed away peacefully at Chapman House in Owen Sound on Saturday, November 30, 2019. She was 78.

She leaves behind her husband Bernie Eckert of Hanover, daughter Borgny-Solveig (Sverre Etterlid) who gave her grandson Oystein. She also leaves behind step son Thomas (Darlene) Eckert of Ajax, step daughters Rosemary (Duncan) Manser of Warsaw, Patricia (David) Little of Saskatoon, 9 step-grandchildren and 4 step-great-grandchildren. Remembered by her siblings and their families. She will be forever grateful to her family, friends and to those at the Hanover & District Hospital and Chapman House, whose caring and thoughtful ways brought her great happiness.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, January 25, 2020 at Victory Fellowship Baptist Church (033219 Grey Rd 28, Hanover) at 11 am with a reception to follow. Pastor Paul Holden officiating. Cremation has taken place. Inurnment in Hanover Cemetery.

Memorial donations to the Chapman House or to the Hanover & District Hospital Foundation were appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
