Janet Lynn Milks, formerly of Hanover, passed away peacefully after her battle with Cancer, surrounded by family at Chapman House Residential Hospice in Owen Sound on New Year’s Day. She was 64.
Born in Toronto on October 3, 1955. Janet was passionate for her career at Temptations Gifts and Home Decor in Hanover and made sure to leave a smile on everyone’s faces. She was involved for over 30 years with Girl Guides of Canada, was extremely talented and gifted scrapbooker and enjoyed every minute with family and friends. Not one to shy away from a "cold one" every now and again, she loved her family and everyone that wasn't related was treated like family.
Devoted mother of Jennifer (Joel) Maurice of Barrie, John (Melissa) Milks of Mono and Farren Milks (Scott Uhrig) of Cargill. Dear Grandma who always had treats and hugs at a moment’s notice for her many Grandchildren; Hudson, Emma, Karlie, Sheldon, Hunter, Rorey and Bennett. Dear sister of Lee (Ralph) Temple of Mount Forest, James (Kathy) Cuming of Orangeville and Susan Cuming of Erin. She will be remembered by her nieces, nephews, friends and family.
Friends and family are invited to a Memorial Visitation at Mighton Funeral Home, Hanover on Wednesday, January 8, 2020 from 10 am until time of a Celebration of Life at 11:00 am. Cremation has taken place with inurnment in Walkerton Cemetery at a later date.
