David Sweiger, of Hanover, passed away at Hanover and District Hospital, Hanover on Wednesday, December 4, 2019. He was 66.
Born on October 14, 1953 in Hanover to the late Aldred and Jean (nee Lorenz) Sweiger. David worked for the Town of Hanover as the Municipal Law Enforcement Officer for many years.
Survived by wife Inez (nee Twamley) Sweiger of Hanover. Loved father of Amanda Sweiger, Rustin (Melissa) Sweiger both of Waterloo and Rupert Woods (Marion) of Toronto. Special grandfather of Sadie and Paislee Sweiger. Fondly remembered by his brothers Terry (Anne) Sweiger of Wingham, Dale Sweiger of North Bay and sister Beatrice (Doug) Ward of Listowel. He will be remembered by his mother in law Elizabeth Twamley of Hanover and brother in law Paul Twamley (Pat Godsman) of Alberta and sisters in law Barbara Anne (Ron) Cameron of Annan and Faye (Bruce) Harris of Hanover. He will be missed by his many nieces, nephews and their families. Predeceased by his parents, father in law Murray Twamley, step son Kyle Woods and sister in law Joanne Sweiger.
A casual come and go Visitation will be held at Mighton Funeral Home, Hanover, on Sunday, December 8, 2019 from 1-4 pm where a Funeral Service will be held on Monday, December 09, 2019 at 11:00 am. Rev. Micol Cottrell officiating. Interment in Hanover Cemetery, Hanover.
