Evelyn Patricia Lageer, of Hanover, passed away after a brief illness at Hanover and District Hospital on Monday, October 28, 2019. She was 83.

Born in Chesley, Ontario on January 16, 1936 to the late Ivor and Jean (nee Fraser) McCurdy. Evelyn was a Registered Nurse for many years at Toronto Western Hospital, Sunnybrook Hospital and Ark Eden in Innisfill. She was a caring, gentle soul and was a devoted member of Victory Fellowship Baptist Church. Her church family was just another extended family of her own and she was grateful for all their love and friendships.

Survived by sister in law of Rose McCurdy of Burlington, Fern Lageer of Kitchener and Doris Wallace of Alberta. Remembered by her brother in law Darcy Lageer and nieces and nephews Dale (Debbie) McCurdy, Corinne McCurdy, Edward (Geraldine) McCurdy, Donna (Tom) Fisher and loved by her her great nieces and nephews as well as the entire Lageer Family. Predeceased by her beloved husband Reginald, brother Glenn McCurdy, sister Ruth McCurdy.

Visitation will be held at Victory Fellowship Baptist Church ( 033219 Grey Rd. 28 Hanover, Ontario) on Saturday, November 2, 2019 from 11am until time of a Funeral Service at 12:00 noon. Rev. Paul Holden officiating. Interment in Chesley Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to Empower Ministries would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
