Ronald "Ron" Johnson, of RR#1 Elmwood, passed away, surrounded by his family at his home on Sunday, March 04, 2018. He was 63.

Born in South Dakota on February 24, 1955 to the late Johnnie and Lucille (nee Aiken) Johnson. Ron was employed with Durham Furniture as a labourer. Prior to moving to Canada, Ron enjoyed simple living and loved the country. His passion was working and training thoroughbred horses.

Dearly loved husband and best friend of Elaine (nee Weirmier) Johnson of RR#1 Elmwood. Proud father of Shawn Durrer (Lee-Ann Lambert) of Guelph and Shannon (Kevin) Turner of RR#1 Elmwood. Ron was a special grandpa who always had time for the grandkids. Missing him deeply are Marissa, Madison Turner and Zac Durrer. Dear brother of Keith (Cil) Johnson of Seattle, Washington, Sandy (Fred) Todd of Fort Bragg, California and brother in law of Barry Weirmier of RR#1 Elmwood.

Visitation will be held at Mighton Funeral Home, Hanover, on Thursday, March 8, 2018 from 7-9 pm where a Memorial Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, March 09, 2018 at 11:00 am. To honour his wishes, cremation has taken place.
