Douglas "Doug" Pentland, also better known as "Snoop" by his friends and family, of Pike Bay, Northern Bruce Peninsula, passed away peacefully at Chapman House Residential Hospice in Owen Sound on Thursday, March 1, 2018. He was 68.
Born on November, 22, 1949, in Hanover, Ontario, to the late Percival "Perce" and Ida "Marion" (nee Huber) Pentland. Doug was employed with A&P for many years and will be missed by his friends and family. Doug was happiest when he was at the cottage or spending time with his friends and family fishing and hunting.
Survived by his twin brother William 'Bill' Pentland of Hanover, and sisters Marie (Sean) O'Brien of Tilbury and Joanne (Douglas) Hammond of California. Fondly remembered by his nieces, Jennifer and her children Chloe and Liam, Kathleen and her daughter Quinn and nephew Peter and their extended families. Predeceased by his parents.
A Memorial Visitation will be held at Mighton Funeral Home, Hanover, on Tuesday, March 13, 2018 from 6-8 pm, where a Memorial Service of Celebration will be held on Wednesday, March 14, 2018 at 11 am. Cremation has taken place.
Memorial donations to the Chapman House, CNIB or to the Foundation for Fighting Blindness would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
