Mabel Klages- Sacks (nee Publuske), formerly of Hanover, passed away peacefully at St. Mary’s Hospital in Kitchener on Friday, August 16, 2019, surrounded by family and friends in her 93rd year. Born on January 30, 1927 in Sullivan Township to the late John and Selma Povelofskie.
Survived by her children Doug Klages (Charmaine) of Elmira, Lorna Peltzer (Adolph) of Belleville, Sheila Gardiner (Earl) of Brantford, Faye Brekelmans (Gerry) of Aylmer and daughter-in-law Randi Varga of Chesley. Remembered by her sister Lauretta Wright (Harry) of Hanover and sister-in-law Mavis Klages of Chesley. Also survived by 16 grandchildren and 37 great grandchildren as well as a large extended family. Predeceased by first husband Lorne Klages, second husband Cecil Sacks, son Tim Klages, grandson Jason Klages and her brother Maurice Publuske.
Family and friends are invited to First St Matthews Lutheran Church, Hanover on Tuesday, August 20, 2019 from 10 am until time of a Funeral Service at 11 am. Rev. Robert Clifford officiating. Interment in Hanover Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Alzheimer’s Society or to the First St. Matthew’s Lutheran Church, Hanover would be appreciated. Arrangements entrusted to the care of the Mighton Funeral Home, Hanover.
