Thelma Duxbury, of Hamilton, slipped away peacefully at Arbour Creek Care Centre, Hamilton, on Friday, July 26, 2019 in her 97^th year.

Born on September 9, 1922, in Czechoslovakia to the late Joseph and Anna (nee Szilassy) Szabo.

Thelma will be sadly missed by her dog Scooter.

Survived by step-sons Ronald (Donna) Duxbury of York, and Bruce Duxbury of Hamilton, and step-daughter Janet (Hanno Bielecke) Martin of Hamilton.  Dearly missed by 6 step grandchildren, several step great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews and their families.  Fondly remembered by sister in-law Wanda Szabo.  Predeceased by her husband Harold Duxbury, daughter Jacqueline Neville (nee Litchfield), brothers Elmer (Olga) Szabo and John Szabo, and step-grandson Jason Martin.

Following her wishes, cremation has taken place.  A private Memorial Celebration of Life will be held by family at a later date.  Arrangements entrusted to the care of Mighton Funeral Home, Hanover.  

Memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Lung Association of Ontario would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
