Leslie "Les" James Paton, of Ripley, passed away surrounded by his loving family after a courageous battle with Cancer at Hanover and District Hospital on Thursday, February 15, 2018. He was 57.
Born on April 7, 1960 in Brampton Ontario to James and Cynthia (nee Stokoe) Paton. Les worked as a groundskeeper and maintenance for a golf course until his health declined. He was a strong man, who valued family and friends. Although his life on earth here was short, he made the most of each day and was always smiling and will be remembered by many friends and extended family.
Survived by devoted and caring wife Elizabeth 'Liz" (nee Feenstra) Paton of Ripley. Les was a great dad and would do anything for his children. He was always proud of them and would tell everyone who listened about all their accomplishments. Missing him now and forever are daughters Sheena (John) Coates of Brampton, Meaghan Paton (Kyle Fox) of Vancouver and son Daniel Paton at home. Dearly missed by his mother Cynthia Paton of Brampton, and father and mother in-law Clarence (Rienie) Feenstra of Burlington. Fondly remembered by brother Andrew Paton of Owen Sound, sister Deborah (Bruno) Krascek of London and by several neices and nephews. Predeceased by his father James Paton.
Family and friends are invited to Visitation at Mighton Funeral Home, Hanover, on Monday, February 19, 2018 from 10 am - 11 am where a Funeral Service of Celebration will be held at 11:00 am. Rev. Tim Leferink officiating. Cremation to follow.
