PUPICH, Elia Lucy (nee Zuliani)
                                   

Peacefully on February 13th, 2018 with her loving daughter, Dawn McCulloch, by her side, Elia Pupich passed away at Summit Place, Owen Sound in her 103rd year. 

Elia Pupich (née Zuliani) , Elia was born in the village of Basilano, in the Province of Udine, in Northern Italy to the late Luigi and Maria Zuliani. Her family immigrated to Ontario, Canada around 1919.  She was approximately 4 1/2 years old at the time.  She was formerly of Schumacher, Toronto, the Queen's Hotel in Hanover and Elmwood, Ontario. Elia was the dearly loved wife of Charlie Pupich and they were married for 75 years  until his passing in 2013.

Loving mother of Dawn McCulloch of Sauble Beach. Dearly loved grandmother of  Tasha (Dylan) Thomas, Michelle (Steve) Waugh, Janet (Eric) Lenover, Brad McCulloch, Ryan McCulloch and Great Grandma of Claire and Sarah Thomas, Tyler and Travis Waugh, Mieke and Akemi Lenover and Kasey McCulloch.

Predeceased by her parents, Luigi and Maria Zuliani, her beloved husband Charlie, sons Charles Pupich Jr.(2003) and Glen Pupich (1994) as well as her brother Marel (Stella) Zuliani. Also predeceased by in-laws Bob (Danica) Pupich, Betty (Aldo) Tutti, Rosie (John) Crnich, Goldie (Jim) Rivers and Mary Whitford.

A special thank you to the staff of Summit Place Lodge and Long Term Care and Dr. Veenstra for their kindness and loving care given to Elia during the past seven years.

To honour her wishes, cremation has taken place and a family celebration of her life will be held privately. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations to the charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.
