Melvin "Mel" Lipskie, of Hanover, passed away in his sleep in the comfort of his home on Tuesday, March 05, 2019. He was 89.

Born in Hanover on February 11, 1930 to the late Chris and Hanna (nee Scheifele) Lipskie. "Mel" was employed for many years with Durham Furniture, Knechtel Furniture and Beaver Lumber and will have fond memories of all his co workers. He loved working with all types of wood and enjoyed crafting many projects for loved ones.

Survived by loving wife and best friend Marlene (nee Ritchie) Lipskie of Hanover. Loving father of Grant Lipskie and Kent (Charlene) Lipskie both of Hanover. Devoted and proud grandfather of Danielle Kestner, Kelly Kestner, Breanna Lipskie and Reid Wilson-Lipskie. Great grandfather of Coby and Kyler Kestner. Remembered by sister in law Donna Ritchie of Owen Sound as well as his many nieces, nephews and their families. Predeceased by his parents, sisters Violet (Wilfred) Mercey, Verna (Harold) Wenzel, Vina (Mel) Hoffele, Irene (Stan) Spielmacher, Pearl Lipskie and brothers Elwood (Mabel), Lorne (Verda) and Orville Lipskie.

Visitation will be held at Mighton Funeral Home, Hanover, on Sunday, March 10, 2019 from 1-4 pm where a Funeral Service will be held on Monday, March 11, 2019 at 11:00 am. Pastor Darlyne Rath officiating. Spring interment in Hanover Cemetery.
