Marjorie Mae Smith (nee Young) formerly of Hanover, passed away at Brucelea Haven in Walkerton on Tuesday, February 5, 2019. She was 83.

Born on August 19, 1935 to the late Joseph and Mary (nee Baker) Young. Marjorie raised her girls along with her late husband Samuel and truly enjoyed watching them grow up. She was a member of the Hanover Missionary Church Ladies Group, Hampden Seniors and Church Seniors Group. She enjoyed the fellowship as well as helping out when needed.

Survived by daughters Patricia Smith-Wendorf (Jim Wendorf) of Walkerton and Shirley (David) Mercey of Hanover. Loved grandmother of Natalie (Kevin Rivard), Ryan (Rachel Schuett), Meghan (Mike LeDressay) and Jordan. Loved by her great grandchildren Isla, Siena and Connor. Remembered by her nieces, nephews and their families as well as Sam's side of the family. Predeceased by her beloved husband Samuel, brothers Alex and Clarence Young, sisters Gladys Miller, Marion Farmer and Clara Hinther and William (Louise) Smith and Calvin (Dorothy) Smith.

Visitation will be held at Mighton Funeral Home, Hanover, on Thursday, February 7, 2019 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, February 8, 2019 at 11:00 am, at Hanover Missionary Church, Hanover. Interment in Hanover Cemetery.

Memorial donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation, Arthritis Society or to the Saugeen Valley Children's Safety Village would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
