Margery Louise Myles (nee Elliott), of Hanover, passed away suddenly at her home on Sunday, September 23, 2018. She was 79.
Born in Halifax, Nova Scotia on November 24, 1938 to the late George and Eliza "Wavy" (nee Colp) Elliott. Margery was a switchboard operator with Homeward Health Centre. She was meticulous in her housekeeping and often kept detailed notes on daily events. Margery had a great talent for writing poetry and found a sense of calmness and relaxation when she would put her thoughts down on paper.
Survived by loved sons Terry (Debbie) Myles of Port Hope, Danny (Cathy) Myles of Wasaga Beach and Wayne (Michelle) Myles of Oshawa. Proud grandmother of Hailey, Chris, Garrett, Kaitlyn. Dear sister of George Elliott, Frank (Donna) Elliott both of Wasaga Beach, Ronald (Cathy) Elliott of White Rock, B.C., Maureen (David) Downs of Desbarats, On and Thelma Stephens of Ajax. Fondly remembered by her nieces and nephews and their families. Predeceased by her parents and son Kenneth Lee Myles.
Visitation will be held at Mighton Funeral Home, Hanover, on Saturday, October 13, 2018 from 10am until time of a Memorial Celebration at 11:00 am. To honour Margery's wishes, cremation has taken place.
Memorial donations to the Salvation Army would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
