Evelyn May Robbins, of Hanover, passed away peacefully at The Village Senior's Community, Hanover on Sunday, December 31, 2017. She was 94.

Born on May 18, 1923 in Hanover to the late Arthur and Edith (nee Hodder) Hopkins. Evelyn was employed with Knechtel Furniture Company in Hanover for over 35 years.

Survived by loving daughter Yvonne "Bonnie" (William "Tony") Bendig of Cambridge. Special grandmother of Jeffrey (Anne) Bendig, Todd (Lisa) Bendig, Jason Bendig and great grandmother of Dillon, Alison, Sarah and Laura. Predeceased by her beloved husband Milford "Mitch" Robbins and her brother Robert Hopkins.

The family is very grateful for the many years of care provided by Dr. Neal Stretch (retired) and Dr. Cheryl White. A heartfelt thank you to the many nurses and PSWs at the Village Senior’s Community who provided daily comfort and companionship to Evelyn during this past year. Special thanks to lifelong friend Dorothy and her daughter Deb.

To honour her wishes, cremation has taken place and a Memorial Gathering and Celebration will be held at a later date in the spring at the Hanover Cemetery. Inurnment alongside her husband Mitch in Hanover Cemetery.

Memorial donations to the St. James Anglican Church, Hanover would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
