Robert Netzke

Robert James Netzke, of Mildmay, passed away peacefully and quickly after a brief illness at SBGHC - Walkerton on Monday evening, May 01, 2017. He was 79.


Born in Mildmay on October 12, 1937 to the late George and Edna (nee Helwig) Netzke. Robert was employed with Nesel Fast Freight as a Truck Driver. Robert got his trucking career started with Grein Transport and had enjoyed all his road trips and adventures that his trucking took him on.


Survived by wife Irene (nee Grein) Netzke of Burlington, sons David Netzke of Burlington, Andrew Netzke of Brookeville and Adam Netzke of Burlington. Loved grandfather of David Thompson and Nathaniel Netzke. Fondly remembered by his sisters Diane Rogers of Mildmay, Marlene (Albert) Hillier of London , sister in law Ione Warden of Oshawa and brothers in law Fred Grein, Alvin Grein and Ivan Grein all of Hanover. Robert will be fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by brothers Earl, Pat, Carl, Leonard, Lloyd and sisters Alice Schaus, Grace Rier and sister in law Pauline (Keith) Armstrong.


Family and friends are invited to a Memorial Visitation held at Mighton Funeral Home, Hanover, on Sunday, May 7, 2017 from 2-4 pm. A Private Memorial Celebration Service will be held. Cremation with Inurnment in Hanover Cemetery, Hanover.


Memorial donations to the Unicef or Christian Children Fund would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
