Lorie Davis

Lorie Davis passed away Tuesday, January 3, 2017 at the age of 85 years. A lifelong resident of Hanover, he was a long-time employee of Morrow’s Woodcraft, thence Home Hardware, and was always happiest with a hammer in his hand. After retirement, he and his wife Audrey spent 14 years in Florida where he became a keen shuffle board player and enjoyed many travels. Lorie was a member of Masonic Lodge #432.


Father of Judy and her husband Tom McDevitt of Kitchener, Frank and his wife Pony Heath and Aileen Davis, all of Toronto, he is predeceased by his wife Audrey (nee Catto) Davis; Grandfather of James McDevitt (Katie) of Kitchener and Andy McDevitt of Toronto; and, Great-grandfather of Seamus and Finnegan McDevitt. He is survived by his brother Gordon and his wife Joyce of Owen Sound. He is predeceased by his parents Clara and Arnold Davis of Hanover, sisters Betty Baldwin, Helen Lark, Joy Ruhl, Marie Lettau, Clarabelle Weirmier, Mae Redford and brothers Bruce, Earl and Albert Davis.


Friends and family are invited to a Memorial Celebration of Lorie’s life at Grace United Church, Hanover on Saturday, May 13, 2017 at 11 am.  Members of the Hanover Masonic Lodge #432 will be conducting their Memorial Service at 11am with the Celebration of Life commencing immediately following. Arrangements entrusted to the care of the Mighton Funeral Home, Hanover.
