Marie Foerster

Marie Foerster (nee Herbst), of Walkerton, was called Home to be with her Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ on Wednesday, August 1, 2018. She was 90.

Marie was born in Normanby Township daughter of the late Edward and Katharine (nee Grein) Herbst.  She married Milton Foerster and farmed with her husband in Carrick Township until retiring to Hanover.  Life on the farm wasnt easy, but together they enjoyed all their hard work, building and fostering many relationships along the way. Faith was especially important to Marie and she could be found often reading passages from the Bible. Marie along with Milton would take part in many Mission projects, enjoyed serving the Lord through various church functions as well as sharing with others their love and teachings about Jesus. 

Survived by loving children Catherine (Bill) Dickison of Walkerton, Dennis (Barbara) Foerster of Neustadt, Sheila (Paul) Karl of St. Jacob's,  Faye Douglas of Drayton, Carol (Bill) Scott of Harriston, Deborah (Brad) Richardson, Steven (Connie) Foerster both of Clifford and Heather Roth (Jason Schneider) of Harriston. Devoted grandmother of 22 grandchildren and 36 great grandchildren. Fondly remembered by her brother in law Paul (Barb) Foerster of Ayton and sister in law Helene Herbst of Waterloo. She will be remembered by many nieces, nephews and their families. Predeceased by her beloved husband Milton, son in law Ken Douglas, great grandson Jessie Daniel Foerster and by her siblings Carl (Ruth) Herbst, Frederick (Pearl) Herbst, Sadie (Noah) Brusso, Allan Herbst and in laws Carl (Doris) Foerster, Lillian (George) Tanner, Mabel (Fred) Seim, Gertie (Francis) Tone.

Visitation will be held at Mighton Funeral Home, Hanover, on Monday, August 6, 2018 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm.

A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, August 7, 2018 at 11:00 am, at St. Matthew's Ev. Lutheran Church, Hanover.  Interment in Hanover Cemetery along side her husband Milton.

Memorial donations to the Canadian Wildlife Fund or to the Canadian Bible Society would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
