Florence Mercey-Robertson, of Hanover, passed away at Hanover and District Hospital, Hanover on Wednesday, November 06, 2019. She was 83.

Born on August 15, 1936 in Holland Township to the late James and Gertrude (nee Hamill) Dixon. Florence was a secretary for the Hanover Post for many years.

Survived by sons David (Shirley) Mercey, Dan (Caroline) Mercey both of Hanover, Dell (Faye) Mercey of Wingham and Jeffrey (Sandra) Mercey of Minto Township. Loved by her step children Jacquie (Kevin) Bishop and Sherry (Charles) Young. Special grandmother of Natalie (Kevin), Ryan (Rachel), Alina (Ian), Amber, Corin, Leigh, Arden and step grandchildren Emily, David (Maria) and Sarah Young and Keshia, Kayla (Wade) and Kabrina Bishop. Great grandmother of Isla, Reese and Siena. Loved sister of Mervyn Dixon and sister in law of Wayne (Sheila) Horst, Albert (Yvonne) Cook, Paul Mercey, Bruce (Lois) Robertson. Florence will be remembered by her dear friend Marlene Gardiner. Predeceased by her parents, 1st husband Charles Mercey, 2nd husband William Robertson, sister in law Edythe Dixon, Darlene and Roy Gilkinson and Wilfred and Violet Mercey.

Visitation will be held at Mighton Funeral Home, Hanover, on Monday, November 11, 2019 from 2-4 pm & 7-9 pm. A Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, November 12, 2019 at 10:30 am, at Holy Family Church, Hanover. Interment in Holy Family Cemetery, Hanover.

Memorial donations to the Sick Kids Hospital or to the Ronald McDonald House would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
