Lloyd Fahrer

Lloyd Fahrer, of Hanover, passed away peacefully with all his family by his side at his home on Friday, October 4, 2019. He was 89.

Born on August 30, 1930 in Cargill, Ontario to the late William and Josephine (nee Stade) Fahrer. Lloyd was involved in the retail business for many years after driving truck for Gay Lea Foods. He was Manager for many years at Becker's Milk in Hanover. He always enjoyed his customers and being able to put a smile on a youngster’s face when they came in for penny candy.

Survived by devoted children, who all cared for him during his illness; Mary (Dwain) White of Owen Sound, Heather (Harold) Fleet of Hanover and Pamela (John) Weber of Orillia. Special grandfather of Ryan (Brandi) White, Matthew (Dr. Cheryl) White, Kristen (Richard) Horne and Kyle Weber (Kelly Kornet). He always enjoyed being with and telling stories to his great grandchildren, Ebony, Madison, Hunter, Zachary, Curtis, Gregory, Jackson and Connor. Survived by his brother Don (Grace) Fahrer of Hanover. Fondly remembered by his nieces, nephews and their families. Predeceased by his beloved wife Christina (nee Kuenzig) Fahrer, brother Jerome (Mae) Fahrer and sister Geraldine (George) Klemmer.

To honour his wishes, cremation has taken place with a private family gathering at the Hanover Cemetery Columbarium for an inurnment of ashes at a later date.

Memorial donations to the Hanover & District Hospital Foundation, Ronald McDonald House or to the McMaster Children's Hospital in Hamilton would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy. Arrangements entrusted to the care of the Mighton Funeral Home, Hanover.
