Douglas “Doug” Brownlee, of Hanover passed away after a brief illness at the Hanover and District Hospital on Tuesday, January 8, 2019, in his 89^th year.

Doug was born on May 31, 1930 in Hanover to the late Alexander and Clara (nee Klie) Brownlee. Doug was employed for many years at Knechtel Furniture as well as Hanover Kitchens.  He was also a 3^rd degree Knight with the Knights of Columbus.

Survived by sons Dale (Jane) Brownlee of Calgary ,  Donald (Dawn) Brownlee  and only daughter Diane(Craig) Byers both of Hanover. Loved grandfather of 4 and great grandfather of 8. Doug will be missed by his great friend Gord. Predeceased by his first wife Elizabeth Oehring, second wife Kathleen Jagelowski.

To honour his wishes, there will be no visitation or services. Cremation has taken place with inurnment in Holy Family Cemetery, Hanover in the spring.

As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family. Arrangements entrusted to the care of Mighton Funeral Home, Hanover.
