Garnet Brigham

Garnet Ernest Brigham, 68 of Hanover, passed away bravely at home with his wife by his side. Garnet was born at the Chesley Hospital, on September 24, 1949 to the late Ernest and Beulah (nee Klages) Brigham.

Being a resident of Hanover the majority of his life, he had been employed at Buckeye Peerless Textiles Products Co. Ltd., then at Hanover Kitchens Canada Ltd. and then had just retired after 31 years at P & H Foods. He had lead 1st and 3rd Hanover Cubs for 9 years, taken pictures for several weddings, and been involved extensively with his church, having sung in the choir, served on the church board, was church historian for 21 years and became an elder in 1998 for several years, all with St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church.

He is survived by his wife, the former Jean Schaus whom he married on July 07, 1973, 2 sons, Robert and his wife Melissa, Andrew and his wife Jennifer, both of Kitchener. Also surviving are 2 grandchildren, Maura and Liam, 1 brother Thomas of Hanover, 2 aunts and several cousins.

Visitation will be held at Mighton Funeral Home, Hanover, on Wednesday, January 3, 2018 from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm where a Funeral Service will be held on Thursday,  January 04, 2018 at 11:00 am. Rev. Bonnie Sutherland officiating.  Interment in Hanover Cemetery, Hanover.
